R. Craig Scott

Helping California City Managers for Nearly 20 Years.

Along with 19 years of service as an elected official, Craig's experience as a management-side employment lawyer, and as an executive law attorney, uniquely qualify him to provide excellent representation to City Managers and other public sector executives, managers and directors.

What makes Craig so qualified to represent City Managers? One reason is his nearly forty years representing employers. Craig understands how employers typically deal with executives' employment issues. And from that understanding, he has developed techniques and strategies to assist both private and public sector executives to cut the best deals possible, whether they are moving into, or out of, an employment situation.

Craig is the senior partner of the management-side labor and employment law firm of Scott & Whitehead. He is also CEO and Founder of Executive Law Group, Inc., a law firm that represents senior executives and other professionals in transition. Previously, Craig was the partner leading the Orange County, California employment law practice of the 260-attorney law firm of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton and, later, of the 50-attorney law firm of Pettis, Tester, Kruse & Krinsky.

Craig graduated from the University of Utah's College of Law, where he received his J.D. Degree in 1978. He was a Member (1976-1977) and Articles Editor (1977-1978) of the Utah Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif.
